Salmon Bay Beach which is situated south of Ballito is great for surfing due to how exposed it is which makes for very consistent surf.

The beach is unspoilt and a fantastic place to spend the afternoon with your friends and family. Salmon Bay beach is usually filled with bathers in the day and this is also where most of the boats are launched from.

Early morning, late afternoon or early evening you can share the beach with the anglers and watch the sunset from this amazing spot. Fishing is best at these times as it is quieter and you may be lucky to see some of the anglers haul out anything from Stumpies, Cob, Snoek, Couta, Kingfish and even juvenile dusky sharks and sandsharks. Certainly a great site for all.
